Lower Haight

Engineered to address unstable soil conditions, this project began with significant structural concrete foundation work to support a modern three-story rear addition seamlessly connected to the existing traditional home.

The first level features a flexible guest space with a Murphy bed, acid-etched concrete floors, and a walk-in refrigerated wine room. Above, a light-filled living room opens to a rear deck and newly landscaped backyard. A custom steel staircase with sculptural railing leads to the third-floor primary suite, complete with a tongue-and-groove wood ceiling and a dramatic backlit onyx slab in the primary bath.

Radiant heating runs throughout, while expansive rear-facing windows and doors flood the interior with natural light and create a strong indoor-outdoor connection.
