Noe Valley

This full-gut renovation redefined the home from the ground up. Extensive excavation and structural concrete work transformed the existing crawl space into a full-height ground floor with 9-foot ceilings. A three-story rear addition expanded the footprint, while a complete roof tear-off allowed for 10-foot ceilings on the second and third levels.

At the heart of the home, a sculptural floating staircase anchors the space—one of many features that led to its selection for the 2019 AIA San Francisco Showcase Home Tour. Additional highlights include a walk-in wine room, extensive custom cabinetry, and a roof deck with sweeping city views. Radiant heat and integrated smart home technology for lighting and shades complete this thoughtfully engineered, design-forward residence.
